St-Maarten Heineken regatta, Aruba Heineken Regatta, BVI Spring regatta, Antigua Sailing week, Culebra Regatta (Puerto Rico), Puerto Rico Heineken Regatta These are all high quality sailing events, which Heineken has been involved in for the last 30 years. These are also the largest and most relevant Sailing events both for locals as well as tourists throughout the Caribbean region. These regattas have changed from small local races to large international sailing/music events, which have had huge positive influence on these islands.
Now it's OUR turnl Heineken Curacao and Curacao Sailing Festivalare very proud to announce the Heineken Regatta Curacao 2008, which will be held in November on 7, 8 and 9. Curacao is the perfect spot to kick-off the season by organizing the first Regatta of the season. This is possible because the beautiful island of Curacao is situated nicely below the hurricane belt. This event is followed by the cruising rally of the Virgin Islands. Besides being the first Regatta of the season and the biggest Curacao will ever experience, this Regatta will be surprisingly different. Therefore the slogan: 'Real. Differentl' It all starts with the location of this three-day spectacle. All events and races will be in and around the harbor and bay of the historical city of Willemstad, the 'Annabaai'. All boats will actually be sailing and racing in the center of Willemstad and in the open sea in front of the city. There will be al sorts of activities ranging from competitive sailing races to fishing competitions to a jet ski race and stunt show, demonstration, a surfing competition, a boat parade at night and much, much more . There will be al sorts of activities on shore as well during these three days and we will assure you that this will be something you will remember. Just to give an idea there will be: helicopter tours and top of the line entertainment all over the city of Willemstad. At night when the sun is down you will be our guest at the live concerts and open-air discotheques on unique locations.
